s6 cases really necessory

I have never had a case on any of my phones iPhone 1,4,5 / HTC M7 / S6. If there was a really thin wooden case I would try it out, but Im not sure they exist.

Have u checked etsy.com? That's where I just got a wooden case for mine

I use the samsung clear cover along with a sleeve. From etsy. Had it custom made to use with the cover on.

I grabbed a wooden looking platinum case from best buy today. It's the dark one and looks good on the gold. It's only for work though. I got it because it was on sale for 14.99 instead of 34.99.

No case here. When I'm done with phones they get sold off cheap to Mazuma (phone recycling web site) and they don't give a damn what condition its in as long as it boots up.

If I drop it and smash it then I'll deal with it and all you case users can point at me and laugh while I cry! :D

I have always used cases in the past. Usually give a better grip with the right case. With the latest Gorilla glass on the S6 I wondered why I would need a case. I have dropped my past phones in cases and never had any problems. So, I ordered one for the S6 Spigen Slim Armor. The day before it arrived my S6 fell out of my pocket from only about 3 feet up. The phone still works but the glass back shattered. They should have used the Gorilla glass on the back. I am going to see about replacing the phone today. I plan to put my case on it before I leave the store.

Front and rear is Gorilla Glass 4 but doesn't mean it's shatter proof.

Wow, I never would have thought that they used Gorilla Glass 4 on the back because of cost. I just assumed the stuff would be more resilient. Knowing that will make me be even more cautious with the front. I like the new Spigen case. Looks nice and appears protective, but as with all cases the front remains vulnerable. Thanks for the information dumpedduce!

Wife hates cases, but this thing is so slippery she had to put something on it. I don't understand why companies make such nice phones then force you to cover it with a case because it's so slippery!

I only use bumpers. I bought a spigen Neo Hybrid.

Just my luck though... I took the Spigen bumper off for a few days just because and it fell out of my front shirt pocket when I bent over to grab something I dropped in the parking lot. Needless to say, I now have serious road rash on top left corner and minor scuffs on two other corners. Luckily, no scratches on the virgin glass.

Easy to remove a bumper, a little more effort to remove a rugged case. Mine is still pristine.

True but I have never been a fan of covering up the phone design. My previous phones have been pristine as well only using a bumper. This time, the days I didn't have it on, it gets dinged. Grrr

After a ding on one of my RIM devices, rugged cases forever until they start making them klutz proof.
