S6 Edge accelerometer issue

I've decided to replace my old note 2 with a s6 Edge. But i've come across some old threads about auto rotation not working due to burnt accelerometer. This problem was caused by fast charging the phone. I wonder if the hardware issues of the accelerometer is solved in the later batches of the phone ( most of the threads were written in april and may).

Now I'm afraid to buy the edge due to this issue. I know the issue was solved with a software update, but I know that the update did fix the auto rotation problem by using another sensors while leaving the accelerometer not working.
I don't want to buy the edge and not use the fast charger. Also, the edge is still an expensive phone and I don't want to throw away my money.

Did they fix the actual hardware problem in the new batches or should I be worried about the issue?

I think you don't need to worry. Maybe 1 in 10000 could have the issue. If you (fate) get the issue don't hesitate to replace for a better one using your warranty

You should still get the s6 edge if you like the phone but just make sure you test it thoroughly before your cooling off period is over.

I am using the s6 edge now and I didn't even have a single glitch with any sensor it works fine. Only if anything happens I'll replace it. Except for my sister's galaxy tab 3 has an awkwardly working accelerometer!! It Jerks seriously! !!
