Android Central Question

I got an s6 edge T-Mobile Android 7.0.1 last week. I have found no help with this. When I connect it to my home wifi network the internet connection goes out. I know it's not just the phone. To test it I started streaming on the TV, downloading on my old phone, and playing online games on my laptop. All three were working perfectly at the same time. Then I connected the s6. The streaming stopped, the downloads were interrupted, and the online game disconnected. Then I turned off the wifi on the s6 and then everything got internet again. I need urgent help. I will not be able to reply. My wifi speed when everything is connected is 5 down 2 up.

Welcome to Android Central! First, try rebooting the router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds. If that doesn't help, then log into the router's settings on your computer browser (see the router manual for instructions) and see if there's a QoS option (Quality of Service) -- if there is, turn it off. If that still doesn't work, see this guide for more tips: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...roubleshooting-wi-fi-connection-problems.html

I created an account to reply. I checked and qos is not enabled. I did some tests and it's not the speed it's the ping. With the s6 off ping is at 60, but with the s6 on the ping is at 1100+. Is there anyway to fix this?

What brand/model router do you have? Check their support site to see if there's a firmware update available.

This is less likely, but if the phone has a ton of photos that Google Photos is trying to back up, that might hog bandwidth (but this should stop after all of the photos are uploaded).
