S6 Edge multiple problems, can I get some help?

s6 edge multiple problems

I'm new to this fourum but i just need some answers. i bought the s6 edge from at&t back in July. pretty much imediatly i was having problems with it. most notably was the fact it takes up to 5 seconds for the screen to respond to pressing the home button. or it would light up and shut back off right away. got to the point where the phone just stopped responding to anything. i took it to an at&t and the worker did a manual reset and showed me how to do it myself, but suggested i take it in to be looked at. i was going to do that. but the next week it fell out of my bag and cracked the screen. now im pretty sure if i take it in samsung will tell me that all of the problems are because i cracked it. i put the issue off for awhile but now more problems are happening. my fast charger is actually burning me. and the phone battery is gone to about 8 hours, even in powersaving mode while im at work not even really looking at it at all. my real questiong is basically am i screwed because the phone is cracked? or is there some way to fix this?
