Dear All

I have going true a large number of phones in my time, but this is the first time I own a Samsung phone, this phone is driving me crazy.

The hardware is really nice, camera is the best I have had in a phone, it's fast, but the main reason I have a phone it to make calls, the default phone and contact app's in this phone are useless, I have around 1500 contacts in my phone and need to use groups to find the contact each time I want to make a call, some brilliant software engineer decided I have to go out of the phone app and open contacts to find a contact i a group to make a call ???

Well I installed True Phone, which works fine (all-must) when I am connected via Bluetooth in my car I get a dialing fail with each call going out, I have a feeling this has to do with what is standard in the phone, I have made the True Phone app standard (any additional tricks here are more than welcome)

The Sync software from Samsung reminds me of something from the early 90's very slow.

Please any help to what software app's I can turn this phone into something useful (Phone, calendar, contacts) or do I give it to my daughter and by my self a LG phone again ?

Regards
Flemming

Welcome to the forums. I am confused on what your question is. Can you elaborate, please?

Why do you need to go out of the phone app? The app has 3 tabs. ... Logs Favourites and Contacts.

Not to mention the search bar within the contacts tab. ..
Don't understand how that's an issue for you. However we all have different needs.

What he is saying that while on the Phone app, you have the Contacts there but you can't see the Full Contacts options where you can see by groups.

I can see how this can be an issue if I'd need to use it that way, lucky for me I've never, ever, used the Groups options to look for a person to make a call.

The S6 variants are not perfect phones, you can add this annoyance to the list of features they removed trying to make Touch Wiz as trimmed as possible, some of them very useful in previous versions, but it's still a great device full of other useful features missing in most of the other current Flagships. So like it was mentioned above, we all have different needs and there are devices that are not for everybody, thanks God for Android and the ton of other phone options we have.
