S6 edge recently used apps disappear

Same thing here. It's driving me crazy. It started after the most recent update to android. I was on a nexus 5. I tried wiping the cache with no luck. I then switched to a new galaxy s7, I still have the same issue. Would love a solution as I'm sick of restarting as a temporary fix

Happening for me too on S6 (Android 6.0.1) and it's very annoying. The only fix I know so far is restarting the phone.

I had the same problem with my Samsung galaxy s7.
Followed advice found here and disabled Google. The Google bar on the home page disappeared and the apps returned.
Had to set up Google voice again but still have the apps.
Not using Google bar anymore

It's been happening on my Samsung Galaxy S6 when it was running 5.1 and then I thought the problem went away when I updated to 6.0.1 marshmallow but it still does it about once a day whether I clear the app list often or just let it fill. It seems quite random. Restarting or powering off will bring them all back.

I have this problem too. UK EE s6edge plus. A reset sorts it out temporarily. I use Google voice alot but I checked after using a voice search and it didn't make the issue appear. It's bloody frustrating.

And I'm still running 5.1.1. Ee haven't sorted out the mm update yet. Which I'm jolly cross about. Only 6 months ago the s6e+ was the best phone on the planet yet they still can't be bothered to sort out mm for it.

After the latest update to Marshmallow I started having problems with app permissions and the tech at Sprint did a factory wipe and NOW I have "no recently used apps".

I just noticed this a few days ago. Periodically I'll go to look at my recently used apps on to get the message "No recently used apps". The only way to get them back is to reboot or restart. I'm experiencing this on the S6 edge on Verizon running Marshmallow 6.01.

Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

Thanks

My husband had this. A restart fixed it up

Maybe a solution?

I've read a lot of people saying Google Applications cause this (The Ok Google one for example) and once those are removed or not used, it works ok. It could be over loading the app panel I guess. IDK I did remove it and now it seems to be working fine. But eventually I'd like that app back so I hope someone fixes it.
