S6 Edge slow car charge

Ever since the marshmallow update, my S6 edge no longer charges quickly in the car with a fast charger plugged in the 12v outlet. I get the "Charging slowly" notification and the battery still drains if I am using GPS or pandora. I've tried various fast chargers and the original cable and have the same results. I have no issues with the wall fast charger. Anyone experience similar issues? It's almost impossible to get any kind of charge through the car charger.

Try disabling fast charging? Does other phone charge well in your car?

Tried disabling fast charge and tried a friends S6, same issue.
