S6 Gmail is installed but no icon, what do I do?

S6 Gmail is installed but no icon

Hello

I have a new phone S6.
While downloading a new app, the new icon settled at the place where my Gmail icon was.
Now my Gmail icon seems lost.

It is not in the app drawer.
I createted no folder accidently.
When I go to Widgets and drag the 1x1 Gmail icon to the desktop, Gmail opens instead of dropping the icon on my desktop.
When I close Gmail, there is still no icon.

I can't find how to uninstall Gmail. Playstore only gives option Open or Update.
I have touchwizard TouchWiz Start selected.
I read about hidden Icons but I don't understand.
I did a restart.
I did not yet Factory Reset.

How to proceed?

Have you made sure it isn't in a folder?

Go to settings>device>application>app manager>gmail>wipe app cache
