Hi , I have just gotten my new s6 , since my previous had some issues . What I am wondering is next..
When I did a factory wipe and reset, while my phone was turning on , it said something in German, and downloaded or installed bunch of German apps...
Why did this happen , and how do I remove this completely ? I don't want to remove them one by one each time I reset my phone... thanks

Does your phone come from a carrier? If that's the case, those will be installed every time you factory reset because the carrier has made it so into their ROM.

You can look at the specific model number if you have the box or in the ABOUT DEVICE section of your phone, or if there are any carrier logos on the outside.

Nope , nothing... can I maybe replace the firmware or something?
(Don't have the box btw )

You can replace the firmware/ROM with a custom one that removes the carrier bloatware (apps that are downloading), but you'd still need the specific model number to find the exact method on how to do it and a compatible ROM (not all ROMs are created equal, even for the same phone because of carrier versions). You should be able to find the exact model number from your settings, on the ABOUT DEVICE section.

Would you advise me to do it ? Will i experience some dramatic changes? Or just the unwanted apps will be gone? Is that rooting the device or not ?
Is it the same effect when i just uninstall them by myself ? I mean , after i uninstall them , nothing else from the career should remain inside the phone ?
Thanks

It is a different experience depending on the ROM you download. Some devs put on more stuff, some take out stuff they just never used. If your phone is carrier branded there MIGHT be some apps you can't uninstall that aren't in the 'original' Samsung ROM (and even that one has some apps you can't get rid of as well). At the very best, you can disable them but they'll still 'live' on your phone, just never running.

Rooting is only the first step for installing a new ROM (it grants access to the lower level folders and files for you to modify the OS, and hence why it's not without it's dangers...it's like basically unlocking all the doors in your house because a contractor was coming to remodel; it may be used for the contractor or some malicious neighbor might sneak through the back door because it's now unlocked).

If you can install the apps you don't want, then the only 'problem' would be that should you factory-reset your phone, it'll download them again. That's it.
