S6 trouble pairing with vehicle

I've had the same problem. I had the samsung S5 and it worker with my 2012 BMW..then I got the S6 and thats when the problems strated. I even updated cars software and nothing.....

I had an S4 for 2 years and it worked flawlessly. I only paired once with my 2013 Hyundai. Since then, I upgraded to S6 and now I have to pair every couple of days because it says "pairing failed".

One of the people commented that they used NFC to pair. How do you do that?

Thanks!

I have the exact same issue with my s6 and my 2012 kia forte. Help

I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 Edge and I have a 2016 Ford Explorer, at first my Sync was showing my text message notifications but now it doesn't!! I can still see my calls and use voice command its just not recognizing text message. HELP!!!

I'm like the most of you on here. I've got problems to report but no solutions. It appears that the S6 is defective in it's ability to communicate with various autos, likely due to the fact that the data moving to auto's has more requirements than just sending music to a soundbar which seems to work fine.

I just dropped a lot of dinero on a Cadillac Escalade. My Iphone worked with no issues, but the Caddie advertises all kinds of bells and whistles when it comes to interaction through bluetooth and android so I switched to my first android ever and got the S6. Big mistake.

It looks nice sitting on the dash but i have to turn bluetooth off as it is constant connect/disconnect in about 30 second intervals. I keep my old Iphone with me as I can make wifi calls with the Caddie wireless but I give up all the text to audio and other advertised features.

The S6 has a bug that needs to be addressed by Galaxy. Got a real phone on order if anyone is in need of a very nice looking sparingly used S6.

I am having the exact same problem. My bluetooth wont pair, so pissed I upgraded. Looks like a full day at Verizon Wireless store among other issues I am having. Why do these companies put the phones on the market when the necessary software issues are not working 100%. I can deal with no happy face at the end of my text, but no bluetooth. How can i drive hands free and do business? It just scans for a device to pair up phone for bluetooth and nothing found. if Verizon Wireless gets it working I will be happy to share the info.

Just upgraded to a new S6 128GB on Sprint yesterday from an old S3. My old S3 happily pairs automatically with the Bluetooth in my 2013 Focus every day without issue. Paired the new S6 with the car yesterday and it seemed fine, auto paired again after work with no issue. This morning it would not connect to my car's Bluetooth, kept messing with turning Bluetooth on and off, telling the car to connect, messing with menu settings. Finally it paired after I rebooted the phone and fiddled with it some more, very frustrating. I found a thread on the Verizon community complaining about this very issue with the S6 pairing with in-vehicle Bluetooth.

Anybody else having issues pairing the S6 with your car? Is there maybe something wrong with the Bluetooth radio or software stack? The device works fine with my Android Wear watch, stays paired without issue, but I haven't really gotten to try any other Bluetooth accessories yet (the BT adapter in my truck, BT speakers at home, BT headphones, etc).

Have you tried removing the old device? I couldnt get my s6 to pair with my kenwood, when my s5 had no problem. Un paired my s5 and now my s6 is good to go.

I have a 2013 Subaru Impreza Sport and my S3 and the 1st Gen Galaxy Nexus I had to downgrade to when I dropped and smashed my S3 both synched flawlessly with my car. With the S6 I have to do it manually every time I get into the car. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries to get it to pair. Sometimes it only pairs for media. Sometimes it pairs for calls and media. SO F***ING FRUSTRATING!!!
