Are people getting insurance with this phone and if so is it through AT&T or Samsung. Not seeing the active listed on Samsungs protection plus page for eligible phones.

I have mine through AT&T; I didn't know that Samsung offered insurance for their handsets.
I can't say that mine is anything special it pretty much is the same $6 or whatever a month for accidental coverage from my previous phone that I had. When I upgraded the sales rep at the store asked me if I wanted to keep the insurance going and I said yes. It doesn't hurt to have a little bit of a safety blanket especially now a days with the cost of phones nearing a grand.

I have bought square trade in the last but have not purchased insurance on my S7 active.

I used to buy insurance until I had to file a claim. I still had to pay a $175 deductible for my s7Edge replacement due to a shattered screen. The repair cost thru Samsung would have been $269. So in essence I paid a monthly insurance fee to save me $94 bucks!? Forget it. Once I got my replacement I canceled the insurance.
