S7 and Selfie distortion

it seems like the lens on the S7 selfie camera distorts facial features, anybody has the same issue and anything can be done to solve it? Makes the selfie camera pretty useless ... thin face and big body, nearly a fish eye!

I've experienced this selfie distortion regularly with my S7 even with beauty mode off. I've had to make it a habit to take 3 or so shots in an attempt to avoid the distortion. Also, try holding it as far away as possible with the front facing camera.

Its got a wider angle lens to fit more people into an image, personally I hate it. I get a small head huge body as well, further from the center of the image the more distorted it grows.

I know you can't see the screen while using it, but the phone had a rear camera selfie mode, automatically takes a photo with face detection, it's my preferred method.
