s7 durability

I have to believe that one of these manufacturers can design a very nice looking phone that is durable. Sure all the glass and aluminum looks great but we are talking about a device that does not sit on a table all day like a laptop, or tablet. These phones are in and out of pockets and purses all day long...several dozen times. They are going to be dropped. I HATE cases for many reasons not the least of which is if I pay $$$$$$$$$$ for a phone I expect it to be able to take a drop without being rendered useless or completely ugly. We are already paying a fortune for these things why don't they just make them out of stainless steel? Or at least make one available? I would be all over it. And STOP curving the screen! I can live with a tempered glass screen protector (which I think is better than any Gorilla glass) but they don's stay down because of stupid CURVED EDGES! Who started this moronic mess? Looking at the ZTE Axon 7. I would love the standard S7 but all that glass. The sales person at AT&T told me a horror story about one customer who has the S7 and how quickly he shattered the back. Not for me!

Since April. Not a scratch that I can see. Then again no bad drops yet. I have a very minimal case too, just an OEM leather case, the variant without the flip cover. And no screen protector.

How about yours? I don't have a S7, but have seen friends with launch devices and those still look good.

Well...I had gotten rid of my s7 and just recently got another one. So for the week I've had it its been great

Just like my $200 pair of shoes doesn't mean their more comfortable (and they are NOT btw) they just look better

For men $200.00 for shoes doesn't go very far. One needs to pony up $1000-1500 for decent leather uppers that are comfortable and somewhat repairable when the sole wears out.
