S7 Edge no Google Assistant?

We are on T-Mobile. My son has the S7 and I have the S7 edge. He received Google Assistant and I have not with the S7 Edge. Any thoughts why mine has not received the Google assistant update?

Long-pressing the Home button only brings up Google Now? If you open the Google app, then tap Menu>Settings, is there anything there about enabling Google Assistant?

Thank you sir!! Enable was there so it's running now. I was expecting a update notification for the update.

For my phones, I didn't get any notification until I first long-pressed Home. I did see another thread recently from a user who had to enable it first in their Google app settings, so I don't know if that's a quirk of certain phones.
