S7 edge oreo update messaging feature

On s7 edge (unlocked sprint device using straight talk *tmobile*) after oreo update it said you have some 3 months to register for new messaging featers(go to messages, hit 3 dots @ top right > settings > hit chat settings > on pop up hit register for new features(should receive a text) all i get is a short pop up saying failed to register... anyone know whats up wit this?

Probably has to do with Rich tm. Google the info.
