S7 Edge Rooted phone TWRP flash fail

[Android Central Question]

I downloaded root on my phone and rooted it last night today i downloaded the twrp app and tried to flash a twrp md5 img file and i booted it to recovery and it just shows up as a black screen with nothing but this on the top left corner
