S7 edge screen damaged by Gear VR - any prospect of Samsung repairing it?

I used S7 edge in my gear VR today and the screen has been damaged by it. I now have artefacts/ burned pixels on the screen in several patches and it's easy to discern that the issue occurred when it was in the Gear VR as the artefacts are "mirrored" on the top and bottom halves of the screen. The phone is 1 Year and 1 day old. Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not there is any prospect of Samsung repairing the phone given that I was using it as intended with a Samsung accessory?

Here's a pic of the damage - it is possible to identify the damaged pixels as they are on both 'halves' of the screen.
