Yall have to understand how frustrating this is for older people.
its like driving a car for 50 years with a steering wheel, and one day you get into your own car, and someone replaced the steering wheel with a joystick.
and then all you guys say "eh just get used to the new thing.. its cool"
its not cool. You need to keep ways for older people with bad eye sight, and dont want to learn new things, to be able to keep doing things the old way.
I help a lot of people fix their computers and phones.. and this is one of the most frustrating aspects of it all.
We need people to upgrade theri computers and phones, because security issues, not only effect the user, but have a negative effect on us all. When someones computer gets compromised its often used to attack other computers.
But then yall completely and frequently, change the design. I get yall think its cooler, or easier, but elderly people see it as someone breaking into their home and rearranging the furniture, and no matter how much i beg and plead with them to update theri computers and phones, for security issues, they refuse, because they are scared yall are going to change how things work. I understand on very rare occasions that is needed for security, but 99% of the time, yall just change things for cosmetic reasons and not security reasons. and give older people zero way to go back to the way they learned. (google, ms anbd probably samsung you need to quit pushing out programmers over 40, at least they understand what the elderly are going through.. )
i understand the frustration of the user above. he has an expensive device, and in his mind its been hobbled, for no other reason than you think the new way is better.
