I received my S7 Tuesday 3/1. I notice on the box, right under the model #, it shows H/W Rev0.6.
In looking back at my S6 received on launch day, that phone was H/W Rev1.0.
The S7 revision may not seem unusual to some, but in my former life I worked for a company that designed and built PCBs. The engineers always used revisions less than 1.0 to denote pre-production hardware. The first production hardware was always 1.0. I was told this is standard fare in the engineering world.
I assume no one here can answer for why Samsung chose to ship with a less than 1.0 revision, but it raises my eyebrows.
