anyone run into any issues with the regular S7? people are already having issues with bluetooth volume, sd card mounting and overheating on S7 Edge. i haven't decided if i am getting the s7 or the edge so i'm just trying to find which one has the least amount of issues. coming from a disastrous g4 experience, i really don't want to get something that will be a repeat of that. thanks

Regular S7 on Sprint since Wednesday...
-Bluetooth volume seemed fine
-SD Card operating - have stored a podcast, photos
-Temperature of the device seems normal.
-I skiied two days this weekend in Colorado mountains. Put the phone on "Power save" just in case. The phone still had data service on when I used an app, and was able to SMS. After a day of skiing the phone battery was still at 70%.

Bluetooth volume is low in my edge. Constantly have to exceed the point where it says it's so loud that it may damage my hearing but in reality, that point is still fairly low. No overheating at all for me.

damn. so the bluetooth volume is an edge problem huh? hmm... i use a lot of bluetooth sound pairing so this might be an issue for me damn. looking more like regular s7 for me.

Are these issues on the Global, Exynos, models or the carrier minority variants for the U.S. on the Snapdragon chip?

Got my exynos based regular S7 today. I must say that I have never before encountered a phone that is as unstable as this one. It keeps hanging and restarting itself very often. Simple web browsing or navigating around the settings and it hangs for a few seconds before it restarts itself. I see no pattern to the problem. I have already done one factory reset, but that didnt help much. The best I can say about it is that at least it reboots fast...

Hopefully I just got a bad unit and can get a replacement because this is simply the worst ever!

Not even with my S4 with various custom rom nightlies did I have this much problem.

Besides this "little" problem it is a very nice looking phone and the camera is very good.

Now that Marshmallow is out with the S7 is anybody bluetooth streaming Internet radio like Digitally Imported, Pandora, etc. to a head unit like a Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. and receiving the metadata information on the head unit screen that used to work with Kit Kat but was broken in Lollipop?

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Pandora metadata works fine on my GM myLink radio as well as the Kenwood in my truck and the wife's Explorer with MFT.

Bluetooth transmission from Poweramp works fine with metadata as well. This also works with my Sena motorcycle headset but it does not display metadata. Controls work fine though.

The bluetooth volume issue is a Samsung Touchwiz issue and has been for many years. Just up the volume past the warning and it will stay there until the phone reboots. You will have to raise it again. Which there was a way to turn off bluetooth volume control completely and let the reproduction device handle volume.

^ Thanks for the reply. Did your previous Samsung device have the metadata information work with Lollipop to the Kenwood and your wife's radio or was it broken like many other head units? I am hoping that the metadata information is fixed with Marshmallow.

why are people with regular s7 reporting bluetooth sound as good while the edge owners say it's still a problem if it's a touchwiz issue?

Got my regular s7 a week ago, this morning the power button wouldn't do anything, along with the volume down button. Had to use the home button to get the screen to light up. Held down the power + volume down button, restarted and now everything is fine. I don't know if I should brush this off as a hiccup or warranty the thing as defective. What do you guys think?

No other issues, phone is working great otherwise.

Give the phone some time man you guys are so quick to want to return something. In time the gs7 will be your favorite phone ever

Well that is just a strange comment. Why not return something that is faulty?

I returned mine the day after I got it. Even if I really want to love the phone, it is gorgeous and the camera is great, but I cannot use a phone that restarts itself 50 times a day for no apparent reason. But I will give it another go, I am hoping I just got a bad sample.

I am having issues with no meta data being displayed on my mazda 3's head unit. It worked fine with my lg phone. The volume is good. Just no data on the display.
