S7 or HTC 10?

Thinking about picking up a secondary phone. I like bells and whistles. I like premium. I dig Samsung Pay. I also like simple and smooth. Thoughts?

S7, but make sure you get a Carrier branded version.
Samsung has been failing badly at keeping the Unlocked editions up to date with Security Patches. I love the phone otherwise!

I was going to get the htc 10 from tmobile. They don't carry it anymore and at the time, or had only been a few months since launch. Checked out the s7 in the store and went with that. I had a One M9 and the S7 it way better than the M9 was. The M9 was sluggish compared to the S7, which was funny to me since the M9 was htc's flagship.

My primary is a V20

If you're happy with the V20 camera, I'd say get the HTC. AFAIK it's got the best audio chip among all the current flagships with the only competitors being the Exynos S7 and the iPhone.

the s7 screen is superior to the htc 10. However, if you arent used to an awesome screen go for the HTC as its probably going to age better.

To be honest, i think you would be happy with either. but I'm slightly biased towards the Galaxy S7. Love the camera and the screen is super sharp. Great for VR. Additionally, you will be getting some IP68 love which is always a great thing to have since accidents happen all the time with water.
