S7 or S7 Edge?

I've been reading that the s7 camera quality may go down to 13 or 12mp can't remember witch fourm i read that from, but if course we won't known for sure until it is out, just a rumor.
I have the galaxy s6 edge Plus now and so far I like it. I wish they would make edge apps more useful though. I don't really find a use for the edges other than for its looks. I'm thinking of switching to a note 5 or an iPhone 6+/iPhone 6s+ I've been wanting to try something new.

I absolutely loved the design of the S6 Edge and since I am eligible for upgrade in April, would like to consider the S7 Edge, the only reason I will likely get the S7 as opposed to the S7 Edge though (no matter how silly this reason is to some, it is my reason) is that getting a proper Tempered Glass Screen Protector for the Edge series seems difficult.

Edge plus because of bigger battery, can't deal with small and crappy battery life like S6 and don't have time roofing, tinkering with the phone to improve battery life etc.

That's pretty much the only thing I disliked about my S6 edge, well that, and how sharp the edges are without a case. Although, I've made it almost a full year with no screen protector at all and my screen is still in great shape. I'm very careful with my phones though. If only Samsung would make a tempered glass screen protector for it. They could make a bunch of money since no one else really does it.

Since it looks like the S7 Edge will have 5.5in screen with that massive 3600mah battery, I think that will be my next phone. I still want to hold one first, but it is looking promising so far!

I wish the regular S7 had a larger screen too, but if it doesn't I'll get the edge for screen size, if I go back to Sammy.

Yep, looks like the new edge is the replacement for the old edge plus. So only small flat screen or larger curved screen. Would have to wait for the Note 6 for a larger still flat screen.

I am thinking to go with the edge this year for the larger screen. Not really a fan of the curved edges but no flat version available. Will not need the overpriced memory upgrade this year with the sdcard slot so hopeful contract pricing on Sprint is similar to last year.

I will go with S7 if it has 3000mAh at least. With 5.1" screen and no edge screen features, I think it will do about the same as S7 edge battery life wise if not better. S7 edge will have smaller flat screen real estate than 5.5" if you look at on the flat screen surface I guess.

edge IF the 3600 mAh battery rumor is true.
FCC has a screenshot that pretty much confirmed it. So it looks like you'll be in the edge camp. I'm so happy Samsung listened to the complaints about battery life, but I almost wonder if it was intentional to make more people want to upgrade this year. And if that's the case, I wonder if the camera will be the thing this year that ends up not being as good as it should. It seems like every year there has to be at least one thing.

Please, please Samsung don't listen to any of these people and make the regular S-version with a larger screen! It doesn't need it! The current model is at the threshold of being able to fit in my pocket. One more size up and I'm out.

Regarding S7 versus S7 Edge .... will probably go with the S7, for the obvious reason of size but also I couldn't hand anyone my S6 Edge to look at something and either them or me accidentally pressing the screen on the side to have it disappear.

The Edge model has a bigger battery but at the same time a bigger screen which will result in poor battery life. I don't think the bigger batteries in the 7 models will translate into better battery life compared to the 6. They increase the battery but also increase screen resolution and add on features therefore negating the increase in power capacity

Where is screen resolution increase in S7? S6 edge also had QHD and edge screen features. Jump from 2600 to 3600mAh is more than enough to offset increase from 5.1 to 5.5" screen. Phones like Note 5, Moto X pure have just 3000mAh battery with 5.7" battery but they get way better battery life than S6. Seems like 3600mAh, 5.5" is even better combo battery life wise. This is not to mention more efficient chips in S7 which is very likely.

The edge seems like a gimmick but I got the s6 edge for my daughter and she loves it! I tried it and with a case I do not see any accidental swipes or issues holding it. Still new to it but wish they had more to utilize the edge screen more!

How very cynical of you - unfortunately I have to agree 100%

I'll probably end up getting the S7 Edge depending on price. Wife has the S6 and really enjoys it. May keep it until the Note 6 is reveled and see what that has to offer.

I went to ATT and played with the S6 Edge. I like it. I think I will go with the S7 Edge. I really like the bigger screen and know I will like the bigger battery. Plus it just looks like a sexy phone to me. We only have one week to find out and will know for sure what all we are in store for. Not long now...

I'm waiting for the announcement of the s7 so I can go buy the s6 edge plus on a decent priced deal. They are too overpriced imo.
