Very recently, I am finding that an attempt to clear an app's cache or data results in Settings stopping. For example, I have tried to clear the cache in Adobe Acrobat, but when I launch Settings, select Apps, click Adobe Acrobat, then Storage, Settings stops. But there are other apps where this doesn't happen, for example, Amazon Kindle.
I originally thought it was the difference between the app being on internal or external storage, but I have found certain apps on internal storage that still cause Settings to force close when I click the Storage item.
I have tried wiping the cache partition in recovery, uninstalling offending apps and re-installing, clearing Settings and Setting Storage data, and operating in Safe Mode. Any other ideas on how to fix?
