S7 taking forever to wake up

[Android Central Question]

Hello, since yesterday I have noticed my S7 is taking very long to wake up/turn on the screen when I press the home button, we are talking 20-30 seconds or more. I already cleaned the cache, closed all the apps, turned it off, restarted, and uninstalled a few unused apps that had been recently downloaded. If I lock it down and press the home button soon after locking down it turns on instantly, if it has been more than 10 seconds then the delay starts. The longer it has been locked down, the longer it takes to respond. Any advice will be highly appreciated!
