S7 vs. S7 Edge

I currently have the S4, and I am FINALLY upgrading. I am looking at the S7 and S7 Edge, and I am not super technologically minded, so please speak in layman's terms. From my understanding, they basically operate the same and have the same specs. I played with the S7 Edge at the store, but they did not have a functioning S7. I loved the Edge - the screen is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but my main concern between the two is size and durability.

I drop my phone a lot (I am clumsy and forgetful), so I am just really worried about the screen on the Edge. I would definitely use a case, but would the case then render the Edge's functions useless? Would a case actually protect it, or is the screen basically open to damage regardless? Also, those of you with the S7 Edge, is the size comfortable? (Note: I have very small hands) I'd appreciate any and all opinions/responses. :)

You drop your phone often? The S7 and S7 E is not a not a good choice for you then. Since it is made of glass, it can crack and shatter easily. The S7 edge is bigger than the S7. You should try the S7 first before picking either of them. Casing will not block the edge and its feature.

If you drop your phone a lot just get a LG V10 or a HTC 10, because the S7 series is glass. Or just buy an Otterbox. These phones are too expensive to be forgetful and clumsy to be honest.

I believe the regular S7 is a little sturdier of a device then the edge. We got the edges though.

I would love to see an S7 active or S7 Edge active for Verizon.

Same here. Verizon really needs to get the Active version of this device. In always jealous of att just for this reason.
