S7 wireless charger doesn't work with my S8

I have S7 wireless charger with the original cable and fast charger that came with the phone. They work perfectly fine with S7 but not my S8, even If I plugged the charger that came with the S8. But, it works if I used 3rd party charger but not fast charging of course. It keeps saying "Wireless charging paused"
Any idea what is the problem here?

My Samsung wireless charger works fine with my s8+. Can't see why yours shouldn't

If the case is too thick, it won't engage. You also need to find the "sweet" spot. I have an S8+ and it only quick charges in the horizontal position and 40% of the phone above center of the charger and 60% below center.

The s7 charger should be the same technology

I have a s8 and for some reason it just stopped wireless charging
I tried everything and then sent back to Samsung for service

It must be a mfg defect since it looks like a more widespread problem .

I’ll update you when I get mine back

it seems to over heat when the factory samsung chargers are used for me. I'm using a BlackBerry PlayBook charger and it is the only way it will charge my S8

100% fixed on my old charger and on a new one. it was the OtterBox case. got a different case and it is cooler and has always gotten to 100% charge
