I've been laid up with achilles surgery for over a month and haven't been able to out to get hands on with the S8 or + (interested in +) and I was wondering with the wrapped screen if it's easy to accidentally tap icons etc by holding the edge of the phone? Seems like I saw a comment about it somewhere.

I have the S8+, you can turn on/off the edges in the settings. I just turn them off as I tend to hold the edges of the phone when I text or email. Plus the case covers most of the edge.

I go back and forth with using edge screen. Haven't had a problem with accidental touches either way. I did have that happen occasionally with my S7 edge but the S8/+ curved edges are less prominent. Wouldn't worry about it. I do have mine in a case though, so that might make a difference.

I changed the location to an area that I wont accidentally touch and made the size smaller (and customize transparency)..

As with the S7 Edge and now the S8 and S8+ and the Note 8, the accidental touches can be avoided by placing the phone in a case.

I've had this issue with (flat) phones in the past, as I have large hands and tend to one-hand the phone most of the time. I've not had an issue with the S8+ at all. I've actually been quite surprised that it hasn't been an issue.
