S8 alarm not sounding!

[Android Central Question]

Recently my alarm stopped sounding. At first I thought I was sleeping through it. But today I was awake when it was supposed to go off and nothing. So I dug into the settings and went into the notifications part of the clock settings and everything is set to silent. The issue is I can't change it! I went through I set all the missed alarms, missed clock, etc,etc to sound but it won't allow me to do the same with my alarm and timer alerts. The settings are there but that dimmed font which means I can't change it. Any suggestions? I'd rather not download another alarm if I can get this one working somehow.
