S8+ alarm not working

For anyone who comes across this I've found the solution. The OS is in fact putting the clock to sleep. Goto battery > unmonitored apps > 3 dots in the top right > add app. This should solve the issue of your alarm not going off.

Not a solution for me; what app are you adding to the unmonitored app list? Clock is not one of the available apps to add.

After coming here and reading responses I started looking into the settings on my alarm. In the individual alarm set up the "alarm sound" had been turned off. I dont know how since I never did so, and no one else has access to my phone. I haven't used Bixby. But last week one day a popup for it was asking for permissions and I didn't read it fully and instead denied it access so I'm wondering if this is what caused my issue. Until I'm confident in it I will test my alarm each evening from here on out and recheck the alarm settings just to be sure.
I might also have to take the time and set up Bixby properly so that it won't interfere in future.
Hope this helps others experiencing this issue.

So. This is what I have come up with. I have an S8, this is my second because the first shattered. Anyway, my first one, the alarm just stopped working. I would look at it at night and it would be set, then in the morning it would not go off, look at my phone and the clock icon would be gone. Go into the clock and the alarm is clearly still set. Best I can figure is that when the phone updated and it installed the Device Manager it did some resets and I was not aware. I noticed some comments on how to fix this, and had to figure out that the Battery permissions is under this Device Manager. I am adding my clock as a monitored permission for the battery so the phone does not disable it at night. Will keep you posted on if this works. Like many if you, this is my alarm clock.

Funny. I was about to post the same thing this morning. Sometimes it goes off once, maybe twice. Sometimes, not at all. Very frustrating as I've been using my phone as my alarm clock for a while as well.
All of my settings were imported from my S7E. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I double checked all of my settings and even tweaked a few in hopes that would work. Nope.
This morning, I don't recall it going off at all. Even when I used to sleep through it, there would be a notification where it says snoozed where I could dismiss it.
I am going to blow out everything and start over and see what happens.

Same thing here! All settings were good and it's been working---then no alarm! Some of us use for travel (catching planes, going for surgery, etc) yes, the restart fixed it but now the phone is entirely unreliable!!!
