Okay so this topic might have been brought up before. Worried that the white navigation buttons which is constantly being displayed at the bottom will burn in quickly. Once AMOLED screens burn in, it's over and non-fixable. If you're owning this phone for over a year, it might burn in eventually. I've never experienced burn in on any of my Galaxy phones in the past because I'm careful not to leave the screen on too long (turn off the screen when using Google maps). But now that the navigation buttons are displayed on screen, there's a chance.

Any long time Nexus 6 or 6P owners can comment? (Owned for at least a year)

Example of screen burn in:

I've been using nothing but AMOLED since 2011, never had burn in. The buttons aren't always on the display, a lot of games and video apps, photos, etc hide the buttons.

What about web browsing? I'm always on the web browser... Like 24/7!

I have a Note 2 that has had burn in for the last at least two years from a word game and the status bar

By the way knock on wood my S7 so far doesn't have any burn in but I try to play the word game on my Note 2 to avoid that issue so that the only burn in it might get would be from the status bar

Since the home button is constantly being displayed even when the device is in standby mode I bet it will have burn in!

Maybe Samsung is aware and implemented some kind of shifting for the button, so that it will move slightly to prevent it from burn in.

I had burn-in from the Notification Panel on my S2, Note 2 and now my Note 4. So hmmm, do you not have your display set to very bright or do you hide the Notification Bar with Nova Launcher?

As far as I know, judging from several in depth reviews, the home button is always visible when in standby. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure either but I think it's always visible with the always on feature but I'm not 100% certain

Nova Prime is so awesome I still think Samsung should buy the company and use that as their launcher. I would never use an Android phone these days without Nova Prime and Tesla unread

I always used it on my Note 3 and Moto but don't need it in my V20. It turns screens 360 back to start and has pull down arrow and double tap screen off. That's what I used to use Nova for.

My S6 which will be 2 years old next week has had the keyboard burned in severely for the last 4 months. Although I pre-ordered the S8 + this really is a concern for me.

Tesla unread won't be necessary soon. They're making it part of Nova so you don't need two apps.
