S8 front camera

I have upgraded from a S7 edge to an S8. Love the phone but the front camera appears to be blurry. I initially thought it was fingerprints but if I to the lens it adjusts itself. Phone has not been dropped. Is this a common fault?

Have you turned off all Beauty Filters? Mine looks pretty sharp to wherever I focus it on (as long as it's clear enough to adjust focus), but if any Beauty Filters are applied, then textures and colors are over-smoothed...which is the point of the filters.
