I installed the Oreo Beta update from the Samsung Members app and my phone has been running hot ever since. I have also been experiencing pretty bad battery drain , lagging, and slow charging times. I'm debating whether or not to reset my phone or stick with the beta until they work out the kinks. I realize that beta testing sometimes comes with a lot of bug and issues but I still need a smooth working phone. I read somewhere that the non-beta Oreo update will be out next month, so I may try again at that time. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues?

Restarted yet?
Wipe the cache partition?
Looked for errant apps using excess resources?
While charging it all the time.

Even new, it is good to give a phone 3 or r days to settle down.

Expect a new beta in a month, final in January.

Thanks. I restarted it this morning, but have not cleared the partition cache. I'll try that and see.

Weird, except for a few minutes, my phone (S8+, T-Mobile) feels cooler than normal, and the battery life seems better. By this point in the day I'm usually at 30% or so, and I'm currently at 48%.

No heat issues or battery drain. Did clear cache partition after download. Don't know if that makes a difference. Very peppy for me
