Ever since I "upgraded" (and I use that term loosely) to Oreo, I've had multiple issues w/my 8mo old S8+. Everything from poor signal reception (both wifi and OTA, phone and data) to Trusted Placed and Onbody Detection refusing to work (I now have to use either my fingerprint or PIN EVERY time I unlock the phone), to voicemail only picking up about 1/2 my calls to various apps refusing to do whatever the apps are supposed to do. I've done a factory reset which might actually have made things worse.

I have a credit card that gives a $25 APPLE gift card for every $2500 I spend. I've always used that card and have amassed about $400 towards an Apple product. Since I already have an iPad, the only thing I can use it towards is an iPhone. I've always had Android phones, some good, some bad, some flagships, some budget phones but I've always had issues w/them. The best phone I've had was my Nexus 6P and even that had a few issues.

Mostly, I'm rambling but I'm still 1/2 serious about ditching Android completely for Apple. It's not even as much about the quality of Android but that I don't think even the "best" phone makers charging the most exhorbitant prices can make anything other than junk.

Find a Sprint company store. (Most of them are privately owned, but there's usually at least one owned by Sprint.) See if they can reflash just the update. If not, call tech support and let them know that (even though the phone may be out of warranty, depending on when you bought it) it's now a liability issue - they damaged your phone with their update, and you'd like them to make you whole. If tech support won't work with you (and the 4 Big Carriers normally will), call their corporate number and ask for the legal department, and explain the situation to them and ask to whom you should direct your attorney to make it easier for Sprint to not have to pass the letter around before it gets to the right person. (I've never had it go that far, but one dealer I knew did - and they offered to have a new phone shipped immediately - no one even mentioned returning the old one back, strangely.)
