S8+ Oreo Email Count Badge Issue

I just upgraded to Oreo on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ on Verizon and now there is an exclamation point as the badge count for email. This remains with notification icon badges turned on or off. I also have tried it with Tesla Unread turned on, off and uninstalled completely.

Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem. Would be interested for a resolution. I tried toggling badge/icon counts in both android settings & Nova Launcher/Tesla Unread, without success.

New Android OS so there are always bugs. Tesla/Nova are usually quick to update. Email the developer and I have seen other users in other forums get a quick reply.

I found a fix! I downloaded the attached apk file and then re-enabled the badge icon in Tesla Unread. Worked like a charm.

@KJScarp - how about sharing the link where you got the file from or some info about that file? To others, with no offense intended toward KJScarp, I'd be VERY cautious about downloading and installing an APK shared through a file share site by a new member.
