S8 - ringtone change

I have the s8 and it will let me change to a custom ringtone I downloaded off zedge, but it will randomly change it back to a default phone ringtone when it wants. Any ideas? I did move it from zedge to a music folder on SD card and still have the same issue... Help appreciated.

I have seen issues before similar to this when the ringtone/notification tone was not in:
\\Internal storage\audio\ringtones
\\Internal storage\audio\alarms
\\Internal storage\audio\notifications
\\Internal storage\audio\ui
I have any custom sounds in the appropriate folder (not certain if this holds true for Nougat)
