Pretty amazing performance by both devices but the s8+ is the battery stud between the two

Too bad it's exynos.
Too bad it's exynos.
In a couple of days I'll be able to do my own battery test with the 835.
Ikr!! I can't wait to play with this phone and go show it off to all the iPhone drones at my work![]()

Yeah it looks like both devices have great battery optimization. This video also confirms some very very good results!

Charging is designed to stop when it hits full charge. So you won't be overcharging. At worst if left on plug the charger will act like a trickle charger and keep topping off if the phone were to drain on the charger. So there is no real 'damage' to the phone by leaving it on the charger, or to charge to 100% all the time, or to even use fast charging that could generate more heat in fast charging over normal charging rate.
The concern is the long term effect of the battery and people argue in doing those things you shorten the lifespan of the battery or the ability for the battery to charge to max capacity or to hold charge and not drain faster.
I've read recently/viewed someone saying the best way to preserve and extend the life of you battery is to never let the battery drain below 20% and avoid charging past 80% full. That was the determined "sweet spot" for best battery life avoiding full drain and full charge which they said is what causes the most wear.
In the end do what you feel best and what works for you. I'd probably try to avoid full drains, but I'll probably charge to 100% most of the time and probably keep it on the charger when i go to sleep at nights.
Okay, so Samsung customers are not drones.![]()
Best looking phone is subjective but best screen, that can be measured. iPhones don't have the best screens. Fact.Lol, I love my Galaxy phones I'll admit to that, but a couple of guys I work with swear the ip7+ is the best looking phone with the best screen, etc, etc.. I mean c'mon man..Really? Either way to each their own but I wouldn't consider myself a drone. If the pixel didn't look like an iPhone I'd probably be rocking that right now instead of samsung
