s8+ & snapchat

Has anyone else noticed the front camera is extremely zoomed in with Snapchat and the s8+? I've tried zooming out but it doesn't zoom out any further. I'm coming from a V20 and noticed the difference.

Mines looks the same as my S7 edge (full head takes up the picture). Can't say what other phones look like though

That's because Snapchat on Android has always been crap. I think I've seen it mentioned before that it has to do with them using their built-in camera api and not the phone's. Could have changed since I stopped using it though, so who knows.

Well I submitted a snapchat support ticket so we'll see what happens. It's definitely too zoomed in.

i know in when im in a snapchat chat, it is lagging like crazy when i reply to people, literally a bad keyboard lag. not sure if it is gboard or snapchat

I'm not experiencing that lag, but it makes sense since I'm getting the feeling that snapchat has not been optimized yet for the s8. Hopefully we see an update roll out today, since the 21st is the official launch date.
