My S9+ (on AT&T) Received a big update yesterday evening. But I was working so I didn't have time to read out what it was. What was it?

UPDATE: Just out of curiosity, I did the "check for updates" thing on my phone, and in the last hour or so I've downloaded and installed 2 updates and am in the process of downloading a third. Sizes were 90-something for the first one, 150-160-something for the next two. All said they "supports device security improvements."

What is going on?!

I'm not sure. Perhaps these four updates were all security updates from the last few months? But I have no idea why they would not have gotten to my phone before.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe a bunch of cumulative updates. As long as it's working fine I wouldn't worry about it.

I had 4 updates too and I'm on tmobile it didn't say what the updates were either.

For those that haven't yet check your Software update on Carrier AT&T S9 and S9 Plus big update rolled out live 599mb size firmware is 3BRJ5.

Got mine this morning, but on Verizon. Does anyone know what "system enhancements and performance improvements" were included in the update?

This update changed my Verizon phone to an ATT phone, all the apps changed and VOLTE works now?

I have ATT service.

Of Course i thought everyone knew this, the New Update 3BRJ5 Has now BYOD. So you can change simcard on AT&T Carrier S9, S9 Plus With other carrier simcard, Turn phone off , then Turn it on and you will get all the apps bootup from that carrier and will work for that network if simcard active.

Is this for only carrier branded unlocked phones? Would it work for a dual sim s9 on ATT?

Actually no, this update was for carriers that are locked, not unlocked, i already tested this on my AT&T S9 Plus which it's from AT&T carrier store . I put my friends simcard from Verizon and when i booted up everything on my AT&T S9 Plus changed to Verizon apps etc etc and boot logo was Verizon. With network services from Verizon working with no issues at all.
