S9 Double tapping notifications from lockscreen delay

Hello,



I upgraded from an S7 to the S9. When I tried to open a notification from my lock screen on the S7, I could just double tap it as fast as I wanted, put in my pattern security to unlock and then view the notification.



On the S9 however, I cannot double tap it anywhere near as fast as I could on the S7.. I have to tap once and then again about half a second later.. Or else the phone will not recognise my second tap. Its very frustrating being used to double tapping as fast as I want to open the notification.



Does anybody have any clue if this is normal? Or is there a way to change it?

Tap it once then use the fingerprint sensor.
