S9 messaging notification

Anyone having trouble with the S9 not showing the text message notifications on the icon,I determined the problem yesterday. At&t employee couldn't do it,but I got a smart talented young lady at Best Buy at the Samsung counter that figured it out. When my files transferred from my old phone to my new S9,one of the apps that I had on my phone, SECURITY MASTER,went to my S9. The app SECURITY MASTER will not allow your messenger to give you notifications on your phone...uninstall it,reboot your phone,make sure your notifications settings are all on and your problem will be resolved!

Security Master is an app made by Cheetah, that tells you everything you need to know. What I'd like to know is why people keep just throwing these types of apps on their phones!

Since getting my s9 (upgraded from s3) I've noticed so many glitches, this being one of them. It's not just happening with text messages; I don't get the notifications for Twitter, Facebook, email, or text messages. Yes I have allowed notifications turned on but the bubbles aren't showing numbers. Very frustrating. I shouldn't have to download a third party app to get the stock apps to work properly. Even with the new s9 update, didn't change things.
