S9+ Quick charge question

As for using USB Power Delivery, it seems to be capped at around 10W. Still, it's pretty decent charging speed.

Good to know... I wonder if Samsung is capping that at 10W? The new Power Delivery(PD)3.0, that the S9 went with, specs state up to 100W. The Pixel 2 & 2XL will work with up to 27 watt charging accessories but it’s capped at just 18 watts... 10W is still good but I wonder if that will change or if new chargers will come out allowing for more wattage/faster charges - Qualcomm QC4 is up to 36W for reference.

could be just that cable. use an aftermarket cable and it works fine with my power bank. but neither the oem or the aftermarket cable work with my car charger. both cables work with the oem wall block . check if your cable is fast charge compatible.

USB cables go bad all the time. Some really quick after purchase. I find the quick charge car chargers fail rapidly too. But usually it's the cable.

I've not tried it with my Anker QC 3.0 car charger yet, but the LG QC 3.0 charger that I have works great with my S9+.

I'm using 6.6 foot cable and original Samsung charger it won't fast charger.
Even Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 plug won't work.
On Galaxy S7 it worked fine.
Wonder why Samsung stop fast charging on 3rd party accessories

I use a lot of Anker cables and they fast charge just fine.

I'm assuming that the 6.6 foot cable has a micro usb plug since you used it with a Galaxy S7. It could be the adapter that you are using to connect the cable or the quality of that 6.6 foot cable just isn't up to it.
