s9 Stopped showing missed call notification

Just a little info for all you roids out there. Have S9 running Pie. After recent security update I stopped getting missed call notifications. after digging through my settings for a couple hours I could find no reason for this. Went to my apps in settings I found notifications BLOCKED in my phone app yes, if you show system apps there are multiple phone apps but only one indicated notifications blocked. I could not get it to unblock! I then cleared cache and data to this one app and restarted my phone and it unblocked itself and all is well now.Go figure???
