S9+ Takes Wrong Resolution Photos?

[Android Central Question]

My front camera on my Galaxy S9+ captures images in 1440x1080 despite having the settings set to 8.0MP 3264x2448. The rear camera seems just fine capturing the max resolution pictures at 4032x3024. Why is the front camera bugging out?

It's within the camera app itself

Are you set to 4:3 ratio or 16:9?
It makes a difference.

I'm at 4:3 now which gives the 1440x1080 instead of 3264x2448
If I set to 16:9 it gives a 1920x1080 instead of 3264x1836

Clearing the cache and data from the camera app in the settings seems to have fixed this problem. I should have done this in the first place before coming here. I'm sorry, but I really appreciate you guys for troubleshooting this weird error for me. I'm glad it's working now
