S9 text notification repeat question

Hello all - I recently upgraded from an S4 to an S9. I had custom text notifications for specific contacts on the S4, and whenever I would miss a text, the notification for that specific contact would repeat. With the S9, the custom notification only sounds once (when the text is initially received), and then the default system notification does the repeating.

Is there a way - via system setting or app - to do this with the S9?

Hi welcome, go settings >search bar on top type notifications reminder and tap to turn on

It's turned on. I want the specific/custom text notification to repeat, not the default notification.

You could try Missed Notifications Reminder, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to have it repeat the specific tone associated with a specific contact.

Long press message app tap info and choose notification tone in sounds sub menu .

Tried it, but still got the default notification after the initial notification. Thanks for the suggestion.
