S9+ WhatsApp is overwriting my settings

[Android Central Question]

I do not want pop ups of any sort for incoming messages on WhatsApp. I have gone into the settings, disabling this, only to have a pop-up. When I go back into the settings, they have been changed. Can't seem to make it permanent. HELP! Thank you in advance.

Try contacting WhatsApp - that sounds like a problem with the app itself.
