Android Central Question

All updated from Samsung accepted and installed , and I think it happened after latest update

Clear data/cache and force stop the phone app, to do that long press the phone app tap info then scroll to storage .

Let's see if the OP responds in case they might just not understand how the answer button works. Still a lot of people who think you just have to tap the button, instead of swiping it.;)

Ha! Tried Chrome and still can't find the elusive start a thread button. It must know better than to show it's self.

As title My Galaxy S9 SM G690F wont accept incoming calls . Green button pulses but whether I press - gently or hard , or swipe , it just goes to missed call , and I have to ring sender from missed call list .

Hi welcome!
Have you tried the above suggestions?

Many thanks fellas , just tried dialling from my landline and call went through immediately ! That was after clearing the phone cache . Probably better if I knew how to clear the System cache in the boot up menu now that the subject is "warm" Thanks again fellas .

Cleared the phone cache OK . Unclear how to clear the system cache on the boot up menu . Advise please

It's model specific; you push a combination of buttons right as you power it up. That takes you to the boot menu.
You scroll up/down usually using the volume buttons.
Make sure you pick "clear system cache"!
It will warn you, punch "yes" then after it completes the operation hit the reboot option on the menu and allow it to reboot as you would normally.

That method was clear phone app cache , its good to clean cache in recovery by turning phone off and before it starts hold bixby/volume up/power buttons same time clear cache

Glad it worked out for you

Many thanks everyone , your collective solution(s) worked like a dream , I had visions of taking it down to the mobile repair shop after the lockdown ends - hope it comes soon in any case . Thanx again - a happy silver surfer !
