the droid x already has a factory supported car mount and works in landscape none the less.....

I am starting to wonder if an htc evo car mount will be as elusive as a factory car dock for a zune? seriously make something HTC

Thats nice for people that want an "official" car holder.

Personally I found one that:
a) fits with my case on my phone
b) will also hold my Garmin if I decided to use it.
c) is full adjustable for all positions (landscape, tilt, side to side, ect)
d) was cheep as hell and had free shipping.

Sure it is an ebay item, but holds well, works well, and I don't have any complaints at all with it.

listen you wasting your time with these guys they no everything. i agree with you. i love my phone just was trying to make a point in my post like yours. But i guess what ever these guys complain about is way more important. just look for their posts! lol.............. that not direct to you lorak. you gave a reasonable reply.

Exactly! They were touted to be available..... I don't care much for universal mounts. I can make a better one it is just time consuming. It's way cheaper to buy one. Bottomline some of us just want to buy something that works not something that kind of works. Universal mounts don't work so well in my truck. Things fall out of them. I don't always live on paved roads.

Exactly! They were touted to be available..... I don't care much for universal mounts. I can make a better one it is just time consuming. It's way cheaper to buy one. Bottomline some of us just want to buy something that works not something that kind of works. Universal mounts don't work so well in my truck. Things fall out of them. I don't always live on paved roads.

I tend to agree.... I picked up 3 different "Universal" mounts... One from Radio Shack and two off the internet.... Yeah they are adjustable but they just don't look right and look "Cheap" in a way.

Your basically talking about a $500 device so call me picky but I want some thing that is made just for my device.

There are some made specifically for the evo that run about $7 (free shipping) from hong kong.

I went with a universal one, so I can throw my garmin on it if I want. It was $5 (free shipping) from the states. Its in my last post in that thread. I got it in 3 days.

As I said it works really well, and if it didn't I was only out 5 bucks.

I have a seidio active case on my evo... That doesn't look like it will work...

personally i just have the ****** bag Stand kicked out and have it sitting on cluster Bessel... a little non slip surface tape and im good... its a temp solution for now...

that just holds the phone i want something that connects the phone aswell i have enough cards to manage as it is
