Safe Disconnect

When I connect my N4 to my Windows 7 laptop the "safely disconnect device" icon does not appear, such as when I connect my camera or thumb drive. Is this normal for the Nexus 4?

When I connect my N4 to my Windows 7 laptop the "safely disconnect device" icon does not appear, such as when I connect my camera or thumb drive. Is this normal for the Nexus 4?

It connects as a Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) device. As such, no "safe disconnect" procedure is required.
