Anyone know why this may have happened last night:

Going about my day, noticed a few messages from my husband and my daughter had sent messages taht appeared to not download an image (we often share photos etc) so I decided to simply reboot the phone. Well, when I did that it only rebooted in safe mode, tried a few more times, same thing. Something came up about installing a custom rom so I got out of that screen real quick (never installed a custom rom). FINALLY got it to go "back to normal" after manually shutting down, then turning on. Before that, the phone had an option to turn off safe mode and it would say "turn off safe mode - phone will reboot and all apps will be restored". I'd press the button but it would reboot in safemode again.

Note: I often am carrying several things and have the phone in a position where i may be accidentally touching it to cause button issues like this. I think perhaps it had something with holding down the power button "too long" (accidentally presing power button)

Is it possible you accidentally pressed Vol Down while the phone was booting up? That typically triggers Safe Mode in Samsung phones.

I'm not sure- I'm thinking it had something to do with the buttons when I was holding it while holding other stuff (bad habit). I'll have to be more careful - that night was worrisome I had just started my deliveries (I run Door Dash and Grub Hub with the phone and in Safe Mode, none of those apps came up).
