I really don't see the issue with the way the usb port is on the device. Honestly I prefer it this way.

Let's say you have a radio docking station, and now when you connect your N5 the back is facing you instead of the screen.

I got mines when it first came out other than the wobble power button it is great love it. I just put a case on it and forgot about it.
